International General Certificate Certification

The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is a globally recognised health and safety qualification. On successful completion of the course you will receive a NEBOSH accredited certificate. Who should attend this course? Is this qualification recognised? Managers, supervisors and employees based outside the UK who require a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles and practices. The International General Certificate qualification meets the academic requirements for Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM). The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling candidates to effectively discharge workplace health and safety responsibilities in any employment sector, in all parts of the world.

Course Duration

9 days plus 1 day for Open Book Exam (OBE) and approximately 3 hours to complete the practical assessment.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH International Diploma.

Assessment

The IGC has two-unit assessments:

one question paper

one practical risk assessment
